Our theme for 2022 is Exploring New Possibilities. This is an opportunity to bring forward new ideas, discoveries, and research achievements developed during and post COVID-19. The conference tackles burning questions such as how our choices of today shape our tomorrow, how to prepare for an undetermined future, and how to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic world.

The theme of our conference for 2022 is Exploring New Possibilities, hosted by the University of Surrey postgraduate and early career researchers committee. This two-day event will provide an ideal opportunity for students to network, explore new opportunities, and learn new skills. The conference will be an excellent environment for all postgraduate researchers, early career researchers, and final year students.
Make sure to register for our 2022 conference for a rare opportunity to socialise with interdisciplinary scholars and learn about their ground-breaking ideas, discoveries, and theories on unique and intriguing topics.
This year we have invited outstanding speakers, collaborated with engaging workshops, and networked with some of the most inventive researchers who wish to share their findings with you. You will be exposed to the newest research in your subject, and will have the opportunity to learn more about a variety of new and intriguing disciplines.

About the Conference
What is the Doctoral College Conference about?
The Doctoral College Conference is a flagship event organised by the University’s Postgraduate Researchers and Early Career Researchers (PGRs and ECRs). It aims to showcase current research, foster networking opportunities, offer insightful deliberations and nurture a supportive learning environment. The Doctoral College Conference encourages PGRs and ECRs from the University of Surrey to exchange and network with researchers and academics from diverse range of fields.
We aim to support the PGR and ECR community by encouraging them to keep exploring their ideas, and sharing them with others. The theme of this year’s conference seeks to bring together researchers from multiple disciplines and backgrounds to highlight ideas and discoveries that were made in the midst of the COVID -19 pandemic.
Exploring New Possibilities is a celebration of limitless research opportunities, ideas and innovations. We want to encourage the new generation of academics to push the boundaries of what is known, and step into the unexplored world of tomorrow with confidence and determination.
